• Transcribing all our conversations 24/7 will be weird and also useful maybe (Interconnected)
Notes
Sooner or later, every single conversation I have will be recorded and transcribed and I’ll be able to look back at it later – details from a phone call with the bank, in the hardware store asking a question, someone mentions a book at the pub, an idea in a workshop. Ignoring the societal consequences for a sec lol ahem… how should the app to manage all that chatter work?

As an adovate of Dropbox I’ve been keen to find a simple way to backup by webserver/VPS to Dropbox. With up to 10gB of storage space for free there’s plenty of capacity for me to backup some MySQL databases and webroot. Unfortunately the Linux command line dropbox client doesn’t provide any way to synchronise a specific directory.

• inessential.com: Mac Text Editors and Navigation
Notes
Unfortunately, there’s no standard for Go to Line in Mac text editors. Each editor does it differently, and they usually screw up at least one part of it so that it’s not-particularly-usable. (Which causes me to curse through my nose, throw one of the plush toys they permit me to have, and then run back to Mama Terminal for solace.)

Notes

I wanted to add vi cursor keys and mouse keys to HHKB. Original HHKB controller is not programmable and firmware source code is not open. So, customizing HHKB needs to replace original controller with programmable one. I used Teensy++ as alternative controller. Though a Teensy has enough ports to drive HHKB, Teensy++ has clean pinout and it makes programing and wiring easier.
I should look into this to see if I can fix the PS/2 HHKB that I apparently fried with a USB adapter.
