Notes"At first glance, Shred Nebula looks like a quick cash-in on the current Geometry Wars craze. However, its unique control schemeâmore akin to classic Asteroidsâproves it has little in common with the popular dual-stick-controlled series. In fact, despite resembling an arcade shooter you wouldâve controlled with a joystick and single button back in the day, its mechanics are fairly complex. Direction is steered with the left stick, but forward and reverse thrusters are powered with the left trigger and bumper, respectively. Toss in a variety of weapons, shields, and other spacecraft-enhancing abilities mapped to the rest of the gamepadâs bevy of buttons and triggers, and youâve got a cockpit full of controls thatâd make Buck Rogerâs head spin.
