When the evil Kleptopus King, an 8-bit octopus with an inferiority complex, discovers a portal into Mimeoās realm and begins to syphon off its bits, Mimeo is sucked in and downsampled to 2-bit. Notes"I just returned from the Microsoft campus (well, I stopped for a panini), where students from Carnegie Mellon University are showing off their awesome project, a version of D&D that runs on the Surface. Now, before you start rolling your eyes, just recognize that this isnāt just a holy grail for tabletop gaming nerds. I mean, itās that too, but really itās a proof of concept that shows how fun and intuitive something like this can be, and how accessible a team can make it. Notes"It's a hefty wave to catch, but our browser has already been Atlas for five years - the IGB is perched atop a custom-written HTML parsing and rendering system. While a noble technical endeavor, this leaves to us the tasks of upgrading and extending the IGB to match the ever-shifting currents of the HTML standard.
